The Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre (FCSC) Director General, Mr Abdullah Lootah, and Mr Paul Schreyer, Acting Director of Statistics and Data at the OECD, met at the margins of the recent PARIS21 and UNSD Conference ‘New approaches to capacity development for better data’ to discuss the two organisations’ collaboration.

FCSC became the newest member of the Community, joining in late 2019, with the goal to implement the .Stat Suite as the unpinning component of their data management and dissemination platform.

Mr Lootah expressed his gratitude for the support and professionalism of the OECD team who have been supporting the FCSC team to model and load data into the .Stat Suite, and looks forward to building on this work to expand to other areas of common interest.

Mr Schreyer, highlighted the importance of FCSC joining the Community as an opportunity to strengthen OECD links within an important region and confirm the commitment to continuing this collaboration.
