World Bank Group joins SIS-CC Community
This month, we highlight new momentum for community collaboration, recent exchanges on the future of official statistics, and ongoing work to strengthen user-centred delivery across the .Stat Suite.
We are pleased to share that the World Bank Group has joined the SIS-CC Community through a new MoU. This agreement formalises collaboration around the World Bank’s use of the .Stat Suite and opens new opportunities for shared knowledge, technical expertise and co-investment. It also marks an important step towards deeper cooperation on country capacity-building projects and the continued development of open-source solutions for official statistics.
We also look back at the 23rd meeting of the OECD Committee on Statistics and Statistical Policy, held in Paris. The meeting brought together Chief Statisticians, Directors-General, OECD members, accession countries, partner economies and international organisations to discuss key priorities for the statistical community. Topics included productivity measurement, trusted statistics in an AI-mediated world, household and social surveys, and the role of cloud and open-source approaches in supporting strategic autonomy.
Finally, we share an update from the User Research Task Force, which recently held its 2026 onboarding session. The session introduced participants to the task force’s mandate, its research-to-delivery process and its role in supporting user-centred design for the .Stat Suite. It also provided an opportunity to explore how feedback from data users, producers and API users can be gathered, prioritised and translated into practical improvements for the community.
