The community supports and builds partnerships at two levels:
The use of common open source tools in all of these initiatives enables to support a wider set of organisations rather than the Community directly supporting a large influx of new members from varying capacity levels.
This is also greatly helping to bring together the fragmented efforts to support capacity and platform development, and reinforce the country-level efforts to build a national data backbone.
Eurostat is a Directorate-General of the European Commission located in Luxembourg. Its main responsibilities are to provide statistical information to the institutions of the European Union (EU) and to promote the harmonisation of statistical methods across its member states and candidates for accession as well as EFTA countries.
The community is Working together in close partnership with Eurostat, building common SDMX tools and advancing the global adoption of the SDMX standard, with the reuse of SDMX-RI building blocks in the .Stat Suite, and heavily contributing to the Eurostat SDMX Open Source project.
Both Eurostat and the OECD are SDMX sponsors.
The Partnership in Statistics for Development in the 21st Century (PARIS21) promotes the better use and production of statistics throughout the developing world.
The community is partnering with PARIS21, to support capacity building efforts and advance the dissemination of SDGs and other indicators using .Stat Suite through a number of pilot projects, and greatly contributed and supported the creation of the Data Flow Analysis Framework (DFAF) guidelines. DFAF outlines the steps for a successful analysis of indicator dissemination processes in NSOs, providing a consistent approach to capturing the current state (“as-is”) and recommendations for the enhanced state (“to-be”) of relevant processes using a data-centric view.

They compile and disseminate global statistical information, develop standards and norms for statistical activities, and support countries' efforts to strengthen their national statistical systems, facilitating the coordination of international statistical activities and support the functioning of the United Nations Statistical Commission as the apex entity of the global statistical system.
The community works together with UNSD in support of the UNSD-FCDO Project on SDG Monitoring, bringing expertise in the area of common SDMX tools and standardised data modelling, and in 2020 supported the UN Global Working Group (GWG) community to put in place .Stat as a Service on the UN Global Platform Infrastructure.
